Crescent Moon – Accumulation and Assimilation: Phases of The Moon

After the New Moon the Moon starts “growing” from, entering a period when all the accumulative processes are more intense than in the rest of the Moon’s phases. This period the assimilation of the minerals, vitamins, food and liquids in the body are much more intense then in the rest. 

This period represents the absorption of the energy and its balanced distribution. Because of these amplified processes it is a very favorable period for vitality, regeneration and recharging both physically and energetically.

Due to the Crescent Moon’s influence the acquiring of new information, acquisitions of any type are welcome, also it is important to be aware that if we ingest more vitamins and minerals they have a more powerful effect, but it is the same with anything that is poisonous for the organism.  We also have to keep in mind that during this period the eliminative processes are slower and more difficult.

The maximum of its effect is when the Moon reaches the square with the Sun, some consider this influence quite hard, sometimes it can create a shocking effect of the accumulation directly within our beings, of information, substances or subtle energy, and some perceive a state of being “too much” of something this period.

It is important during the two weeks of the Crescent Moon to use every opportunity, to utilize every resource and chance that is coming toward us, they will flourish and fructify easily after that.

Amy Winehouse's Death and The Oslo Bombing - Another Kind of Perspective

Interesting world we live in... the two greatest news these days were the death of a singer, and the foolish act of a possessed (by my opinion) individual who killed tens of people to prove something that can never be proved this way...

The death of Amy Winehouse is not something unexpected or out of the ordinary... if you saw her standing drunk and drugged on the stage, everybody could see it coming, so I really don’t understand what is such a big deal… plus with that much Leo and Sagittarius energy, the need for being in the spotlight is huge... Her Venus and Mars, together with the South Node in Sagittarius have a powerful impulse toward fame and fortune, but at the same time her Virgo Sun sign energy (and several planets together with the South Node in the 6th house) ask for simplicity and modesty. Her Sagittarius South Node can make her believe (at an unconscious level) that somehow the rules do not apply to her, that she is so much different than others that she could do anything she want and still be all right... the search for mysticism driven by the Moon conjunct with Neptune can find various ways... one of them is through drugs and alcohol, instead of inspired and pure art, combined with a higher understanding...

Just like those at Oslo (may God take care and guide their souls), and the big majority of the human kind, Amy Winehouse lived her life as it would be possible to keep the ignorance up going forever... most of the human beings have the same attitude... we live our ignorant little lives, running after cars, houses, food, children, parties, sex, everything our society tells us to value, and there are very few that are conscious about the fact, that our lives might end very suddenly, without even having the chance of truly living it. 

We never know when a demoniac human being shows up with a machine gun and starts shooting... it would be time for us to wake up and see further than our salary and bank account, our house and car, our plans in hooking up with someone at a party in our despair for being alone or our uncontrollable desire to ejaculate...

All these aspects work fine for human beings that are the robots this society wants us to be... but all the events around us should be an alarm to awaken us, that our lives might not go according to our expectations forever, and that the sooner we ask intelligent and spiritual questions like “who am I?” and “why am I here?”, the sooner we will realize that there are realities beyond the understanding of the ordinary human level...

We all have the need to discover our nature beyond the ordinary human “reality”, even Amy Winehouse had it, but drugs are not the way in overcoming our limitations (as many examples prove it)... all those who feel lost in this world feel this way because deep inside they know that there is something more to it than this limited existence, they just can’t find the way toward it...

Someone once said: “we either are divine beings, or unconscious tools for evil”... it is time to decide, because it seems there is not much time left...

New Moon – New Beginnings: The Moon Phases in Astrology

Astrologically, the New Moon refers to the Sun and Moon’s position when they are in perfect conjunction. The next New Moon in 2011 will be on Sep 27 at 11:09 AM GMT.

This means that they are actually one “over” the other in a perfect fusion of their energies. The subtle phenomena which happens is that the extreme yang, positive, masculine (the Sun) and the extreme Yin, receptive, feminine (the Moon) energies are in a perfect union; they are manifesting at the same time the perfectly balanced yin-yang energy in nature, but they are also annihilating them simultaneously... the result is a chance to overcome the duality of these energies, to reach a point where, by transcending them we can “taste” the energy of the void.

These moments (which by the way happen every 28 days) are moments when nature turns into a perfect state of balance, equilibrating its energies, offering us the chance to do the same... the moment of hiatus that is created is perfect for anyone to search for the divine guidance and change direction in any matter. In the Hindu tradition the night before New Moon is called Shiva Ratri (the night of Shiva), and it is considered a night when the grace of the divine Lord Shiva manifests in its total splendor, offering guidance, inspiration, also it is said that it is a night when divine transcendence can be revealed as result of a moment of divine grace.

The night before the New Moon is the most powerful moment of the disseminating Moon, amplifying its purifying and eliminating processes to their maximum, this is why introspection, meditation, even diet have a very profound benefic effect this night.

The day after the New Moon is the very beginning of a new cycle, so it is recommended to make life changing decisions and to take the first steps toward anything new with courage, embracing change because actions started at this moment have greater efficiency than usual.

Because of the creative energy of the void and moment when free will is fully manifested we have to be very careful with our wishes and desires with all our aspirations and the direction we focus our energy toward. It is a moment of responsibility and a chance to orient with all our being to our spiritual evolution and discovering ourselves in our real nature.

Disseminating Moon – Getting Rid of Everything We Don’t Need

I’ve been asked a few days ago to explain the astrological and the spiritual meaning of the full Moon, after this I considered it useful to write a set of four articles on the different Moon phases, their influence and how can we use them to align ourselves with the Universe’s harmony.


This period, which we are experiencing right now, has the specific of the eliminative processes so that every therapy that is based on eliminating certain substances, diets for example are at their maximum efficiency. It is a period when surgeries are more recommended because bleeding is restrained by the Moon’s influence. 

It is a period when we can loose weight, break old habits and leave the past behind.

All the treatments or cures that are for purification must start right after the influence of the Full Moon has passed, in order to benefit of the two weeks that sustain this kind of processes.

In the middle of this period (at the second square of the Sun with the Moon) we must be careful because the eliminative processes are very powerful and might generate shocks because of the sudden purifications of the body, or even at a more subtle level. 

This final stage of the Moon, ends the Cycle and leads to another New Moon, giving us another chance for a new beginning... it happens the same with all the planets, just that the rest move slower and their influence is of another kind... if we learn to take advantage of all the divine energy that flows through us, to listen to our intuitions and our inner guidance, then all these cycles become something that we will follow and use instinctively, thus integrating our being in the harmony and balance of the Universe.

Air Signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius Motivation

Air signs’ actions are oriented toward others, toward helping and interacting with other human beings in order to keep the energy in motion. Like air, their minds are always moving, adapting and ready to change in a heartbeat...

Gemini type energy will be motivated by actions that can widen their knowledge base in any area, they will probably not apply or use it for something in particular, but knowing and spreading the knowledge (information mostly, as I said not practical experience) is one of the most important thing for them. 

If they can be of any help by gathering and spreading information, they will be there for you, but it is very important that it won’t be a monotonous action because that will be their end.

For Libra it is very important that anything he/she does, to connect them to others and make them happy. 

Sometimes others’ wellness is so important for them that they tend to make compromises about their own well being in order to maintain balance and harmony. 

If there is anything that can keep everything in harmony in others’ lives, they are ready to do it... also, maintaining an image of a harmonious person is a source for their motivational processes.

The Aquarius is ready to help anyone who needs it (or doesn’t need it sometimes), you only have to ask, but be careful not to rely on them because they are willing to do anything to maintain their freedom, if they have the impression that you depend on them, they will disappear quickly. 

A friendly and very relaxed attitude is needed to put the Aquarius energy in motion and to keep it flowing.

Water Signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces Motivation

The whole range of emotional needs are the basis for water signs to act upon. Sufferance or happiness, intimacy or rejection, are usually the main motivators of the water signs.

Cancer for example will always have the need to be emotionally secured, to be taken care of, they gain their importance by how much care they take of others, and how much others care about them. 

They will usually invest a lot of energy to pay attention to others’ needs, but in the same time they will seek for others who do the same for them, this kind of familiarity based on a certain intimacy regarding helping each other can be something that they will invest energy into. 

Also they tend to give a certain importance to their home in terms of personalizing it, making it as cozy as possible, filling it with their own energy so this direction can be also motivating for them, as well as acquiring such a place of their own.

Scorpio is totally different... the unknown, as well as keeping their own world hidden from others can be their strong motivator. 

We are talking about an emotional level, discovering others’ mysterious inner world (and sometimes even the surrounding-one) is a delight for them. Keeping secrets and finding out secrets is an unconscious drive for a Scorpio nature, so if you want to motivate them to do something, just tell them that no-one else can know about it...

Pisces is a lot more open, and sometimes naive... a lot of people take advantage of the Pisces energy’s naivety, because they are willing to help anyone anytime, in despite of their own needs or problems. 

It is recommended to always have in mind the greater good when motivating a Pisces personality, because their ideals, what they believe in has to be the final result for anything they do. 

Making this world a better place through what they do is usually their strongest urge, but they won’t move a finger if they don’t believe truly in what they are about to do...

Earth Signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn Motivation

Earth signs are motivated by practical things, usually something measurable as a certain value or expressed in an objective manner. Usually they will not move until an action is quantified in terms of money, time, effort, and measurable results on their behalf.

Taurus will always be motivated by material things, money, valuables of any kind, but also pleasure is a very strong motivator, strong enough to sometimes leave responsibilities in order to fulfill his needs. 
Taurus will always go for gathering more and more of what offers him security and comfort, even if it means to put some effort in it, he has enough energy to obtain it.

Virgo might be a tougher nut to crack, because the complex mental evaluation systems he has are sometimes really hard to fire up. His motivation is based on the detailed mental analysis of what is to do, but if you know a Virgo well enough, you surely know what are those values that he respects and toward which he is easy to be guided to. 

Being an earth sign, after he is convinced of the actions’ results, he can become also unstoppable, following his plans in detail and very insistently.

Capricorn energy can be easily motivated with something that fits into their plans on the long term. Even if it is not in their interest for the moment, but it is part of their bigger agenda, they will instantly get involved and become very reliable and responsible with their tasks and schedules. 

If something does not fit into their plans... well that’s another story, you might never get results, you will have to at least give the personal experience some useful application....

Fire Signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius Motivation

Back to motivation...

As I said before, the motivational process is a very complex one, but depending on the dominant energy of someone, we can always find the way to motivate him/her, or even better, to self-motivate our own attitudes.

Usually the element of the dominant energy is the basis for this process, and it slightly differs from sign to sign within the same element.

A dominant Fire energy will always be motivated by his image in front of others (and obviously himself).

Although Aries for example seems a very individualistic personality, he is always competing with someone... he will always try to prove his superiority, and reacts unconsciously to anything that someone says he can’t do...
In this situation, motivation should be based on overcoming our own limits and limitations, proving ourselves that tomorrow we will be better than today, even if this needs some references on the outside.

Leo energy is very different when it comes to motivation... being in the light and others admitting his merits is the best motivation a Leo-type energy can find. He will always want to be the best, even if it is not necessarily his own merit, or even if he is not, it is important that others perceive him like that.

This is why those who have Leo energy, can easily motivate themselves by asking the question “How will I look in front of others after I’ve done this?”

Sagittarius is a whole different story... for them the image is connected to their mental and spiritual superiority, and they even do things that are not necessarily toward a good image in front of others, but this will make them look superior, because they allow themselves to do it...

On the other hand the need to teach and guide others is very deep in the mind of this sign, we’ll just have to remember that in order to guide others, we have to gain the knowledge through direct experience... this way motivation becomes a simple reasoning to see the experience you gain through what you are doing, to be able to use it afterwards for guiding others.
